Well it's only the 5th day of February yet I have so much to share! Since last I wrote we celebrated sister's bday & cousin's bday. Mommy & Daddy have started giving me all sorts of fun finger foods: cereal, peas, carrots, apple & banana chunks, scrambled egg, diced chicken and more. I sit in my high chair and feed myself while the rest of the family eats dinner. I really love my solid foods! Mommy & Daddy don't remember sister putting this much away at her age! We've had quite a bit of excitement the last few days. I saw snow for the first time! It was just a dusting of the white stuff, but some freezing rain came down first and made the roads icy. We went out in the morning and Mommy let me crawl on the snow. The cold snow on my hands made me cry! We took pictures of the house with snow on it. This tiny bit of precipitation managed to close all the schools in town, Mommy & Daddy's offices and ALL highways. The highways opened by 11:00 AM once the sun was out and melted everything.
Today was sunny and in the 60s, and all stubborn traces of snow were erased from the Texas landscape. It was our annual trip to the Rodeo. Well, my first rodeo and Maddie's 5th! We started in the arena watching kids try to ride sheep, and men and women riding everything else. After the rodeo was the Lady Antebellum show, my first concert! We stayed for a little bit, and then headed for the pony rides and petting zoo. Tomorrow is another first: Superbowl! I guess I will cheer for the Packers to make Grampa Bob & Grama Jan happy.
