Baby's First Fiesta

Wow, so I am already a month old as of today! I gave Dad a belated birthday gift yesterday by smiling my first REAL smile at him. Mommy has seen my smile too and has given me the nickname of "Smiley". I've started working my way into social circles during the last week. I attended my first San Antonio Wineaux event and also attended some annual Fiesta events. My family sure knows how to have a good time! The weather has been spectacular lately so we are enjoying while it is still in the 80's here. Mommy starts back to teaching her Spin classes this Saturday. She's looking forward to a workout that does not involve a baby stroller. Next week will be action-packed as I will be participating (okay, well-- riding) in the ACS Relay for Life for the "Jan's Gems" team and Grama Ellen will be in town. Yippee!

Fun with Mom & Sis

As is our family tradition, the youngest person keeps up the blog so BB is taking over! The last couple weeks have been fun since Sister changed to part-time pre-K and has been spending time with Mom & me. The first day was rainy so we made pinkalicious cupcakes. It's Fiesta time so we are attending lots of fun events. On Monday they weighed me at 9 pounds 6 ounces so I will soon say goodbye to newborn clothes! My big news today is that my umbilical cord fell off so no more of the dreaded sponge baths!

Sweet Lullabies

Baby Brother (a.k.a. BB) is home now! He spends most of his time drinking milk and sleeping. Mommy says BB brings back memories of when I was brand new and a little song she used to sing when I was hungry. I used to hit my head against Mommy's shoulder when I was hungry and BB does it too! She would sing this Quiet Riot song line: Bang your head, mental health will drive you mad! Why is it that lullabies have such violent lyrics? Rockabye Baby has disturbing lyrics too.
Here are a bunch of pictures from our adventures during the last week.
